Firey & Associates Insurance Services was founded in 2008 as a father-and-son agency in Orange County. From the beginning, the goal wasn't simply to sell insurance—it was to become a trusted resource businesses could turn to for thoughtful guidance and long-term support.
That philosophy continues to shape how we work today. We believe good insurance advice starts with understanding the business behind the policy, not just checking boxes on an application.
Where that comes from
Every business faces its own set of risks. A contractor has different exposures than a retail store, an office, a property owner, or a professional services firm. As businesses grow, those risks change too—adding employees, purchasing equipment, expanding locations, or putting more vehicles on the road.

As an independent agency, we're able to work with multiple insurance carriers rather than being limited to a single company. That allows us to compare coverage options and find solutions that better match the unique needs of different businesses and industries.
Just as importantly, you'll work directly with an experienced agent who gets to know your business over time. Instead of starting over with someone new every time you have a question, you'll have a consistent point of contact who understands your operations and can provide guidance as your business evolves.
With more than 50 years of combined insurance experience, we've built our agency around relationships—not transactions. Our success comes from helping businesses make confident decisions year after year, not from selling a policy and moving on.
Who we typically work with
We work with businesses at every stage, but we're often the best fit for owners whose insurance needs have become more involved than a basic policy can address.
That may include businesses that:
• Operate company vehicles or commercial fleets
• Need coverage including liability, property, and more for their small business
• Condo HOAs looking for comprehensive coverage for the residential units and its members
Many of our clients come to us during periods of growth or change, when insurance becomes more than a yearly renewal and starts playing a larger role in protecting the business they've built.
What matters to us
We believe our job is to help business owners understand and manage risk—not simply sell insurance.
Sometimes that means recommending additional protection because the exposure is real. Other times it means explaining why a particular coverage may not be necessary. Either way, our advice is based on what's in your best interest, not on selling the biggest policy.
There are occasions when we're not the right fit, and we're comfortable saying so. If another solution makes more sense, we'll point you in the right direction.

Jon Firey
Jon has 19 years of experience in the insurance industry and is part of the father-son team that founded the agency in 2008.
He focuses on helping property owners navigate more complex risks, taking a practical, big-picture approach to each situation. Known for being candid and thorough, Jon takes the time to make sure each piece fits together properly — not just individually, but as part of a client’s overall coverage strategy.
A San Clemente native, Jon graduated from San Clemente High School before attending UC San Diego. Outside of work, he enjoys coaching and staying involved in his three children’s sports activities.
Warren Firey
Warren brings over 30 years of experience to the agency and is the founding partner behind its straightforward approach.
From the beginning, he emphasized a “brutally honest” philosophy — being fully transparent with both clients and insurance carriers. That mindset continues to shape how the agency operates today.
A long-time San Clemente resident, Warren has built his career on relationships, consistency, and a clear, no-nonsense approach to advising clients.
Lauren Vredeveld
Lauren is part of the family behind the agency and brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to her work.
She focuses on homeowners and auto insurance for families, taking the time to understand each client’s situation so she can make well-informed, personalized recommendations.
Originally from San Clemente, Lauren attended San Clemente High School a few years behind her brother Jon, before graduating from San Diego State University. She now lives in San Diego County with her husband and two children and is also an accomplished photographer.
